It will be our responsibility to evaluate proposals. We'll do as much as we can to provide the best mix between levels and topics regardless of the speaker's ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, etc. We strive to be encouraging and inclusive of everyone in our community.
We expect all of our attendees, speakers included, to follow our code of conduct. See our Code of Conduct page for the complete description.
The duration and format of each talk will be decided on the basis of all the submission proposals we will receive. So please provide your timing idea as well.
We are currently considering 2 formats: short (~20min + questions) and long (~45min + questions). Also, we do not exclude that there may be workshops (~4h with a restricted number of attendants). You are allowed to submit your idea in several formats as well.
With the exception of special circumstances, we cannot reimburse travel expenses. If your company is willing to pay for your travel we would be glad to provide them with a sponsorship.
We plan to record all the presentations, and make the videos available online for free. If this isn't OK, that's fine with us, just please mention it in the submission.
You don't have to be an experienced speaker, any talk level will be considered. Basic level talks are welcome!
Please submit your proposal by August 1st, 2016. We might accept and announce talks before that time.
Your satisfaction is important for us. For any questions, email us at info@rubyday.it or tweet us (even via direct message).
